Church Directory Proposal
Project Overview
We propose creating a new church directory for Bear Creek Methodist Church by photographing approximately 140 individuals across 50 family units. The portraits will be captured over the course of 2–3 days on site at the church.
Our goal is to provide each member of the congregation with a portrait that reflects their place within the church community. Families will be photographed together in the largest groupings possible, while individuals will be photographed on their own with the same care and attention.
Following the photography sessions, our team will provide professional retouching to ensure consistent, high-quality images across all portraits. The final, edited photos will be delivered to the church for use in the directory and for members’ personal keepsakes.
We recommend scheduling the photography sessions for October or November, ensuring enough time for planning, coordination, and post-production.
This project will result in a beautiful directory that strengthens connection within the congregation and provides families and individuals with lasting portraits.
Process

Background Selection
Together we will decide on the most appropriate backdrop for the portraits. Options include a clean white studio-style background, or a natural setting within the church such as a large window in the main sanctuary. -
Photography Sessions
Portraits will be scheduled over 2–3 days to accommodate approximately 140 individuals within 50 family units. Families will be photographed together whenever possible, and individuals will be photographed on their own with equal care and attention. -
Retouching & Delivery
Following the sessions, we will provide professional retouching to ensure consistent, high-quality images. Edited portraits will be delivered to the church for use in the directory. -
Prints & Keepsakes
In addition to the directory, congregants will have the option to purchase prints of their portraits. We will set up an online store offering a range of products at reasonable prices. Options may include standard prints in a variety of sizes, as well as specialty formats such as canvas, metal, acrylic, greeting cards, and wallet-sized prints. We will collaborate with Pastor Brooke to finalize the selection of print products best suited for the congregation.
